A global survey of football fans across eight nations has shown that two former Gunners are considered to have the best barnets in their respective countries.

The survey, facilitated by Head & Shoulders, revealed that Olivier Giroud’s Polished Pompadour hairstyle is the most sought after look in France.

When asked what hairstyle in the French national team football fans would most like to replicate, a whopping 44% replied with the former Gunner.

An overwhelming majority (68%) of football fans would like to emulate the Frenchman in his choice of barnet this summer.

Giroud has helped the classical football look known as the Polished Pompadour return to the forefront of hairstyle choices.

Somewhat conventional when compared with Neymar Jr’s bleached blonde locks, the reason behind the popularity of the Pompadour could be that 33% of pollsters highlighted
their workplace dress code as the deciding factor preventing them from adopting a braver hair-do in support of their footballing heroes.

Meanwhile, one of Giroud’s former Arsenal team-mates was also heralded as a man with style. Poland’s goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski was voted to have the best hairstyle in the Polish national team with 32% of the vote.

As the latest wave of footballing superstars battle it out for hairstyle supremacy this summer, global football fans have identified David Beckham’s Cornrows as the most iconic hairstyle in the history of the beautiful game.
