The fact they’ve gone unbeaten in seven subsequent matches across competitions despite a tough domestic schedule speaks volumes. Also, Lille enjoyed a stellar group stage campaign in this term of Conference League, topping Group A with four wins and two draws in six outings. Aston Villa did shine against Ajax in the last-16 round of the competition but their latest form has been anything but impressive.
