Young Boys are going to take on Juventus on Wednesday evening in the last round of the Champions League group stage.
Although they are very dominant in the domestic championship this season, and it is very likely that they are going to retain the title, Swiss champions managed to remain undefeated just once in the Champions League. Gerardo Seoane’s side scored just twice and they didn’t stand the chance of getting away from the bottom of the table. Young Boys are unbeatable in the Swiss Super League, but they are not prepared for the top continental level of football.
Juventus are in a similar position in their national championship as they are eight points ahead of Napoli and the visitors missed the chance to win just once in the Serie A. However, they are also aiming for the very final stages of the Champions League and they’ve already earned the place in the eight finals. Cristiano Ronaldo and the lads are looking very confident and only Manchester United managed to beat them this season, thanks to the very big portion of luck.
These two sides have been drawn in the same group of the continental competitions for the first time in their history and they didn’t have the opportunity to meet each other earlier. Juventus have been pretty confident in their first clash earlier this season as they managed to celebrate a 3-0 victory.
The visitors want to secure the top spot in the group and have bigger chances of getting easier opponent in the Round of 16. Therefore, we are going to back an away victory in this one since Juventus are excellent this season.
Juventus haven’t conceded in the last five occasions and they are really hard to crack this season. However, Young Boys are excellent in front of the oppositions’ goal in their Super League and they might be able to score in front of their fans.
