Valencia vs Levante
Spain – LaLiga
Date: Sunday, 13 September 2020
Kick-off at 20:00 UK/ 21:00 CET
Venue: Estadio de Mestalla (Valencia).
It will be one of the most anticipated opening games in the La Liga this season as both teams are well known for their attacking speed in the middle
Valencia’s two losses within the last three clashes in the league schedule last season pulled them to the ninth spot in the table with 53 points from their 38 appearances. They were just four points ahead of the visitors in the campaign last term.
The host enjoys the home ground advantage, and the two-game winning streak at home in the league towards the end was clear evidence of that form. Their previous encounter was on the road and Sevilla defeated them with a 1-0 score on the board.
Levante finished 12th in the league last season with a two-game winning streak in their schedule to carry over for the new edition. They will visit on the back of a 1-0 win at home against Getafe in the previous league clash in the schedule.
- The host has been unbeaten in the last six meetings.
- Their previous encounter resulted in a 1-1 draw.
- Both teams have scored in the recent six fixtures.
- Two of their last five matches have ended in a draw.
- The Bats have recorded four of the last five overall wins.
- The Granotas have won none of their visits since 1999.
Valencia vs Levante Prediction
The BTTS will be a strong option for the upcoming match. Moreover, their last six h2h meetings have seen both teams score in the fixtures. So, we can expect a tight encounter with both teams likely to find the back of the net in ninety minutes.
Valencia had a mixed form towards the end of the season, but playing at home will be their strongest suit as they have lost only one of the 19 clashes at Estadio de Mestalla last season in the campaign. So, the visitors will look forward to a tireless attack from the host in the encounter.
Levante fell a little short in the table, but not too far away for deeming them as a weaker side. Their only weak position in the game will play as the away side. Having lost 12 of their 19 fixtures on the road last season, the Granotas will struggle here. Since their recent visits have seen them at least score, the draw no bet over Valencia will probably be the best bet in the clash.
Draw no bet: Valencia @ 1.44 (4/9).
Both teams to score: Yes @ 1.60 (3/5).
