South Korea vs Senegal
Date: Monday, 11 June 2018
Kick-Off at 14:00 UK
Venue: DAS GOLDBERG Stadion (Grodig).
South Korea and Senegal are going to face each other in the last check before the start of the World Cup.
Asian side is not in a good form as they managed to celebrate just on win in the last five occasions. In their last check, they failed to win against Bolivia and were held to a goalless draw. Shin Tae-Yong’s side will have a very tough challenge to reach the round of 16 in the World Cup as they will have very strong opponents.
Senegal’s eight-match streak without suffering a defeat came to an end in their latest game against Croatia. Although they had an early second-half lead when Ismaila Sarr found the back of the net, they didn’t manage to resist the attacks of the hosts and failed to a 2-1 defeat. However, they can be content of their recent displays and they might challenge the second spot in their group.
These two sides met each other two times so far and South Korea haven’t been defeated, managing to book a win and a draw. Both their matches ended with a total of two goals and they were not too efficient.
South Korea’s performances are not at the expected level and they will hardly celebrate a win in this one. Senegal could be capable of booking their first victory over this opponent.
African side has been involved in tight clashes recently and this one shouldn’t be much different. Taking into consideration that their rivals have some troubles in converting their chances into goals, this one could also remain under 2.5 margin.
