San Jose Earthquakes want to break their winless streak in the clash against New England revolution at home ground. The hosts are in a very bad form lately as they have tied five straight defeats which pushed them down to the 11th position in Western Conference. Danny Hoesen and the lads have been very productive in front of the oppositions’ goal, however their defending is one of the worst in the entire league. After an opening win in front of their fans, San Jose Earthquakes picked up just a point at home venue.
Although they have booked only one win in the last four matches, the visitors also haven’t suffered a defeat in that period. Brad Friedel’s side is sitting on the respectable 5th position in Eastern Conference and they are five points ahead of the nearest team below the playoff zone. Their forwards are doing a very good job, while the defence could have been a bit tighter.
New England Revolution have been more successful team lately as they haven’t been defeated by their rivals in the five straight matches. Before the latest two goalless draws, the visitors tied three straight victories over their opponents. Their head to head clashes are usually moderate scoring ones.
Although away victories are not so common in MLS, we are giving the advantage to the visitors as they are in a much better form. San Jose Earthquakes are close to suffering another defeat in a row and they should be looking to improve urgently.
Both sides have been involved in high scoring matches lately and in this one the crowd should be able to see a minimum of three goals. The visitors have tied five straight clashes in which both sides managed to score.
