Venue: Hampden Park (Glasgow).
Scottish team started of the first UEFA Nations League campaign with a win over Albania. Alex McLeish took charge of the team this year and is hoping to make his presence felt in the European stage.
Former Everton star Steven Naismith had a good game against the Albanians. He scored a goal and forced a defender into scoring an own goal. In the absence of Leigh Griffiths, Naismith will have another start in Sunday’s game.
Liverpool’s Andrew Robertson was given the captains arm-band in Nations League. With notable performances in the Premier League and UCL for Liverpool he is in the radar of many big clubs.
Portugal also had a convincing start to UNL with a win against Italy on round one.
Andre Silva netted the winner against Azzurri in the start of the second half. The Navigators are in top of the league table at the moment.
Coach Fernando Santos is looking to construct a team without Cristiano Ronaldo for the future. With young players like Renato Sanches, Gelson Martines and Bruma in the squad he is capable of achieving his target. André Silva may be replaced by Guedes in this game.
Poland was their recent victim in the league. Portugal went on to win that away match 3-2, with Andre Silva marking his name in the score sheet once again. Bernardo Silva also netted one in the second half.
Pepe may be rested for this game. The veteran defender is a key part of the team and his performances in the Euro and WC were commendable.

Scotland vs Portugal Prediction
The home record of McLeish’s side is below par. In 3 matches played at home this year they have lost 2.They have problems with their scoring also. In their recent matches they couldn’t score in 3 games.
If Santos is planning on rotating his squad, defense will be their weakness. Their young forwards are capable of scoring but if they can’t prevent the crosses from Scottish full-backs then they will be in trouble.
