Sao Paulo vs Vitoria
Brazil – Serie A
Date: Wednesday, 13 June 2018
Kick-Off at 01:30 UK
Venue: Estadio Cicero Pompeo de Toledo – Morumbi (Sao Paulo).
Sao Paulo are going to host Vitoria in the 12th round of Brazilian Serie A at Estadio Cicero Pompeo de Toledo – Morumbi. After a very disappointing last season, the hosts are putting very good displays in the current one. They are sitting on the 3rd spot and they’ve suffered only one defeat in 11 rounds so far. Although Reinaldo and the lads haven’t been too tight in the back, their attack is doing fine job to compensate some leaking in the back. Sao Paulo haven’t been defeated yet at home ground this season.
It seems that Vitoria are going to fight for the survival this season as they are only three points above the red line. Vagner Mancini needs to work with his team on defensive positioning as they have conceded the highest number of goals in the league. In the last two matches they’ve picked up four points which might announce their good streak. However, the visitors need to put better performances when playing away from home.
The hosts celebrated two victories in a row against their opponents and if we go back for eight matches, Sao Paulo booked seven wins. Interestingly, we haven’t seen a draw in their head to head clashes since 1998! When these two sides are facing each other, the crowd is usually able to enjoy at least three goals.
Sao Paulo are looking pretty confident so far and they should be able to book another victory in front of their fans. They know how it tastes winning against Vitoria and the hosts are expected to win another three points.
Although these two sides haven’t been involved in high coring matches in the last two occasions, this one might go above 2.5 margin as per the tradition of their clashes. Vitoria are capable of scoring, however their defending has been very poor so far.
