San Marino vs Belarus
UEFA Nations League
Date: Sunday, 18 November 2018
Kick-Off at 17:00 UK / 18:00 CET
Venue: Stadio Olimpico di Serravalle (Serravalle).
Belarus slipped up by playing two goalless draws against Moldova which brought them in a tough position coming into November’s final set of Nations League fixtures. They saw off San Marino and Luxembourg in remaining two ties but still trail by a single point behind Luxembourg at the top of the Group 2 standings ahead of November’s action.
The last game in the group will be the easiest one for the visitors as we expect to see a similar scenario to the one form the opening Matchday when White Wings picked up a demolishing 5-0 victory in Minsk. Stanislau Dragun completed a brace for the Belarusians on the occasion. Interestingly, the visitors did not concede a single goal so far in the campaign.
San Marino vs Belarus: Head-to-head
This will only be the second head to head encounter between the two teams.
Belarus did not have any troubles storming past San Marino in September when they took a 5-0 victory.
Igor Stasevich, Stanislau Dragun, Anton Saroka and Yuri Kovalev were on the scoreline for the White Wings on the occasion.
San Marino vs Belarus: Prediction
Saroka scored 6 goals in 12 international caps and he will have a nice chance to even improve such a splendid record against arguably the weakest team on the continent. The head coach Igor Kriushenko will have the luxury of an injury-free squad here which is why we would be shocked to see Belarus slipping up against San Marino here.
La Serenissima lost 25 subsequent matches. They fell by three or more goals difference in 10 of past 11 outings. They failed to find the back of the net in last six games. We don’t need anything else to back the visitors to pull off another comprehensive clean sheet victory over group underdogs in the last game of the round-robin format in Group 2.
