Partizan Belgrade don’t have to travel far for their Champions League 1st Qualifying Round, as they’re hosted by Montenegro neighbours Rudar Pljevlja on Thursday evening. They have high hopes they can show off as a classy side and cause an upset at Stadion Kraj Bistrice but Miroslav Dukic’s men can’t really boast consistency ahead of the fixture!
The Black-Whites come into the match after a narrow 0-1 loss to Zorya, extending their unpredictable run in pre-season with a third loss in five games – with two wins also on the record. They’ve failed to build on the 3-0 win over Gorica seen beforehand but we don’t feel they’ll be distraught and the travelling fans will be a huge support as well.
Rudar have, on the other hand, played just one pre-season clash and saw a goalless draw against Mladost Lucani. This was their third draw in a row, after being held off by Iskra and Zeta late in Montenegrin First League campaign. They boast rock-solid defensive displays, though, and will surely be no easy nut to crack in Niksic.

We do feel Partizan have more depth in quality and the visitors will obviously be very motivated to put a foot in the door in the first leg already, as we back them to win at 1.40. They have shown off their quality despite an unpredictable run and we don’t see Rudar coping.
However, Partizan have been conceding goals on the regular and we do feel they could have to outgun the rivals to snatch a win in a narrow contest looming. We’ll thus also back Over 2.5 goals FT at 1.90, in the hope we’ll see another high-scoring head-to-head contest.
