Romania vs Spain
Date: Thursday, 5 September 2019
Kick-off at 19:45 UK / 20:45 CET
Venue: Arena Națională (Bucharest).
Despite the initial stutter, Romania have got things back under control and are currently on a three-match unbeaten run. The hosts thrashed Malta by a 4-0 scoreline in their last trip on the road, while at home, they got the better of Faroe Islands who managed not more than one consolation goal against the four that the home team slotted.
Nevertheless, it needs saying the only defeat that Romania has succumbed in the table, was against Sweden who are currently second in the table.
On the other hand, the Spaniards, who are on their way to Bucharest this Thursday, will be coming into the matchup on the back of a very convincing 3-0 victory over the Swedes. They are also on a four-match winning streak in the qualifiers and have tasted defeat just twice in their last ten games.
The visitors have so far been winning without breaking much of a sweat and have racked up eleven goals to their names while conceding just twice. However, considering that Romania have also found the back of the net as many times as the away side, an exciting clash is definitely in the reckoning.

Romania vs Spain Prediction
The home team may have bounced back in resounding fashion from their initial loss, and although their performances so far have been admirable, that alone does not guarantee them the bragging rights in this one.
With four wins out of four, the Spaniards are certainly showing no signs of slowing down. Additionally, the visitors took down Sweden in their most recent matchup and even walked away with a clean sheet intact. The dearth of home advantage in this one will not be a reason for Spain to worry either, as they have won their last two outings by a two-goal margin or more.
Although Romania have shown promise, they are just not sizing up as a side that can take down Spain even in the comforts of their home.
Taking into account that the hosts have not registered a win against this opponent in their last two clashes here either, the three points are more than likely to swing in favor of Spain at the end of the ninety minutes.
Four of their previous seven matches between each other have seen neither side keep a clean sheet, while three of their last five at this stadium have seen over 2.5 goals on the scorecards.
Considering that they have also slotted twenty-two goals between them from their last four matches in the qualifiers as well, expect both the teams to rack up the goals tally by all means.
