CSKA Sofia have bagged a 1-0 win over Riga in the first leg of their Europa League clash, extending a ten-game unbeaten streak with their seventh win in ten games! They now travel to Riga for the second leg on Thursday, hoping to build on the narrow home win and make their way to the next round.
Reds have bagged two wins in their two away clashes in May, beating Vereya and Levski Sofia, and they’ll now want to build on such clashes. They have a lot to prove as Nestor El Maestro’s men hope to do so, looking to retain consistency early in the new campaign as well.
Riga have seen their six-game winning streak ended by the rivals last week, after beating Metta / LU, Jelgava, Ventspils, Spartaks Jurmala, Valmiera / BSS, and Super Nova. They’ve been rock-solid defensively and conceded no goals along the way, so we’ll now surely see another such contest here, which promises a narrow match with few goals despite high stakes involved at Stadions Skonto this time around.
We will now back CSKA Sofia to turn another tough and narrow contest their way, with an Away win that comes at 2.00 and looks great value seeing they’re enjoying a great spell at this point. They’ll be very motivated to impress at Stadions Skonto and we do see them doing so.
We do believe we’re in for a very narrow contest for the next round, where CSKA promise a great challenge. We’ll thus also go for Under 2.5 goals FT at 1.67, which could prove the best way to go about the market regardless of what the outcome is.
