Reutlingen will have the honour of hosting the Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart in a match of a friendly character on Friday afternoon at Stadion an der Kreuziche. It will certainly be a special occasion for the home team players given they generally feature the fifth tier of the German football.
The Reds will thus have one of the easiest possible tests to start the preparation period with. The trip to Reutlingen is about to see Stuttgart’s maiden friendly in the pre-season period. Overall, the head coach Tayfun Korkut has reasons to be thrilled with the job he has done with the Reds in the previous term of Bundelsliga.
Stuttgart ended the campaign at the seventh position which is a huge improvement to the last couple of seasons when they were struggling in the bottom half of the standings.

- This will be the second head to head encounter between Reutlingen and Stuttgart.
- The first one was also of a friendly character and it saw a demolishing 0-10 victory for the Reds back in the summer of 2013.

The departure of Daniel Ginczek to Wolfsburg (€10m move) is the only significant change to the last season’s squad. The team, however, spent this money, and much more, on strengthening wing-back positions as well as signing talented Argentine striker Nicolas Gonzalez from Argentinos Juniors.
Mario Gomez is still there and his vast experience will certainly be of a huge help for fellow youngsters Anastasios Donis and Nicolas Gonzalez. We would not be surprised to see this duo lead the line against the amateur opposition here. They will no doubts be highly motivated to bag as many goals as possible which is why we expect a demolishing victory for Stuttgart, similar to the one from five years ago when they destroyed Reutlingen by a ten-goal margin.
