PSG vs Bordeaux
French Ligue 1
Date: Sunday 23rd February 2020
Kick off at 20:00 UK/ 21:00 CET
Venue: Parc des Princes (Paris).
PSG will be able to focus back on their Ligue 1 title after they suffered a surprise 4-4 draw at Amiens last weekend. The club rested some of their star names and also had one eye on their Champions League game and that resulted in Amiens being able to take a point from them.
Because Marseille won last weekend the gap closed to 10 points but it still looks big enough for PSG to ease home to yet another league title. Still when this game is played if Marseille have won the gap will be only 7 points and all eyes will be on this match.
PSG will be the big favourites to win and they shouldn’t have too much trouble doing so. It’s been another incredible season for PSG who have won 20 of their 25 games so far and at home they have won 10, drawn 1 and lost 1. They are scoring 3 goal per game at home and have only conceded 8 goals. Their last home game was a 4-2 win over Lyon.
Bordeaux are in 11th place and trying to chase a Europa League finish, the problem is so is another seven teams. Form is decent because they haven’t lost in five but have drawn most of those games. Their last game ended in a 2-2 draw with Dijon.
PSG vs Bordeaux: Head to Head
Last season PSG won this game 1-0.
In the last 2 meetings PSG have won with the same score line of 1-0.
Bordeaux have not beaten PSG in the league since 2015.
PSG vs Bordeaux: Prediction
PSG are in great form, even in the Amiens game they were not at full strength and came back from 3-0 down to at one point go 4-3 up. They have a lot of quality which is important but also, they have a lot of confidence and should ease to a win here. Their price is very short so we will look into different markets, but we think they can score quite a few goals here. Bordeaux’s away form has been decent, and they have gone their last 3 games without a defeat and perhaps they can score in Paris.
