Nottingham Forest and Burnley will drop the curtain on Matchday No 5 in the top flight of English football on Monday evening at The City Ground.

The hosts will come into the tie in much higher spirits after taking a huge Chelsea scalp two weeks ago at Stamford Bridge.

Anthony Elanga shocked Chelsea’s fans by netting the only goal of the game in the previous round as Nottingham Forest celebrated their second win in the last three matches.

Knowing the Reds have already played the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea, a return of six points from the inaugural four rounds of the season can by all means be labeled as fantastic.

Steve Cooper’s men will now have a great opportunity to back up the win from London as they take on Burnley in front of the home fans.

Vincent Kompany’s Clarets conquered the Championship last season but seem to have big problems adapting to the top flight football this time around.

None of the previous four head to head matches between these rivals provided three or more goals.

The Verdict

Burnley are not pulling up any trees at the beginning of the season and we can’t see them making amends against an in-form Nottingham Forest side here.

The home win offers value at the 2.10 odds while we are also looking at the 2.50 price-tag for Taiwo Awoniyi to score anytime for the hosts. The Nigerian forward has three goals in four appearances this term and he is now up against the weakest defensive line in the competition.
