The Mariners have been in fine form on home soil and will be looking to make that count against a Crewe side who have struggled badly on their travels this season.

Crewe Struggling to Find Consistency on the Road

Crewe head into this fixture having won just two of their last five away games, with that latest victory coming at Shrewsbury back in March. Since then they were beaten 2-1 at Bristol Rovers, drew 1-1 at Cheltenham, and lost 2-0 at Accrington in their last four games on the road.

At home it is a different story, with wins over Oldham and Salford showing they can perform when the crowd is behind them. But away from Gresty Road, they look a much more vulnerable side, and Grimsby will know that.

Grimsby win and both teams to score at 3.40 odds makes plenty of sense here. Grimsby’s home record is strong and they have the firepower to win this, but Crewe have shown they can find the net even in defeats, so a goal for the visitors is not out of the question.

Jaze Kabia to score anytime at 2.10 odds is a tip that sells itself. Four goals in his last four appearances is the kind of form one simply cannot ignore, and with Crewe’s away defensive record looking shaky, the conditions are perfect for him to add to that tally.

A 3-1 win for Grimsby feels like a realistic outcome. It lines up with both teams’ recent patterns, with Grimsby strong enough at home to edge it, but unlikely to completely shut Crewe out.
