Relegation bound Burnley and Luton lock horns on Friday night with four points separate them at the foot of the table just above fellow promoted Sheffield United.

Burnley’s form in the Premier League under Vincent Kompany is shambolic with the team managing just 3 wins from the 20 games played so far. The most alarming stat is the 15 defeats they suffered in the process while conceding a monstrous 41 goals.

Home form is even worse with a solitary win coming from 10 games while losing 9. That win came in December against Sheffield United 5-0.

Luton this far showed much more intent and determination to avoid the drop with some solid displays at home, specifically against those sitting in the top six despite the full-time results rarely falling in their favour.

However, their away form is nothing but terrible having bagged 7 points (2W, 1D) from the 9 played so far. This is also a team that has the tendency to lose a high percentage of games, making this English Premier League fixture interesting as well as unpredictable.

This is why I am backing the over 2.5 goals in this match with Luton expected to avoid defeat.
