New England Revolution started the season with a 0-1 road success against Charlotte. It was a stellar defensive showing from Bruce Arena’s troops who are aiming to back it up with another strong display seven days later.
The Revolution play host to Houston Dynamo on Saturday evening. They head into the tie as the favorites and we expect them to justify the tag based on everything we have seen last weekend from them.
Arena can be pleased with the new center-back pairing upon the arrival of Dave Romney. His new partner in crime is Henry Kessler who made the difference seven days ago in Charlotte, bagging a late winner on the opening day.
Arena is looking to bring New England back to the playoffs and he has some exciting prospect at both ends of the pitch. Carles Gil, Giacomo Vrioni, Bobby Wood, and Justin Rennicks are all expected to shine this year.
Houston Dynamo are also hoping for a much better campaign this time around after failing to reach the postseason action more than twice in the last decade.
They started with a 2-1 road loss at Cincinnati last Saturday in a match that offered plenty of chances for both outfits.
