Minnesota United vs New England Revolution
Major League Soccer
Date: Thursday, 19 July 2018
Kick-Off at 01:00 UK
Venue: TCF Bank Stadium (Minneapolis)
New England Revolution have seen a seven-game MLS streak ended by LA Galaxy on Sunday, as they conceded two goals in injury time, and they travel to TCF Bank Stadium hoping to bounce back quickly. Brad Friedel’s men have struggled for points on the road, though, and only earned four points in six trips across competitions.
Minnesota United will now hope to capitalize on such woes and bag the all-important points, as they look to build on the 3-2 win over Real Salt Lake and climb the Western Conference table. They now sit six points behind the top 6 and Adrian Heath will be well aware how important consistency in front of the home crowd will be.
The Revs have proven themselves as a very tough side to outgun and beat, though, and they’ll surely be a great challenge for the home side now – despite such a confidence booster behind them. They regularly score numbers of goals on the road and we thus hope for a very exciting contest once again.
We’ll now back New England to cause an upset in Minneapolis and we’ll go for a handsome Double Chance – Draw or Away win at 1.66. We’ve seen them in great shape recently and we do believe they can hold out on their first trip to TCF Bank Stadium ever.
However, they’ll have to keep up their red-hot goalscoring form to do so and we’ll now also go for a Yes on Both teams to score, which comes at 1.50 and serves as a real banker bet. Both sides have been scoring and conceding many goals recently and we do feel we’re in for another such occasion here.
