Ivory Coast were the highest scoring team in their group but missed out on finishing as table toppers after suffering a narrow loss to Morocco in the second round of group fixtures. The squad certainly bounced back with a resounding reply, in their final clash against Namibia, with the scores reading 4-1 in their favor at the end of the ninety minutes.
Ibrahim Kamara’s side finished that match with sixteen attempts at goal, half of which were right on target. They also let their opponents have more time on the ball, but restricted them from finding the back of the net more than once.
Mali were the only team in their group to post a win, and it was no surprise when they emerged as the leaders with seven points in hand. Their last game against Angola finished 1-0 in their favor with Amadou Haidara netting the only goal of the tie.
The squad kept hold of possession a lot better their counterparts and were certainly far more accurate in their attempts at goal.
The team that comes out on top will book a quarterfinal meeting with the winners of the round of sixteen clash between Algeria and Guinea.

Mali vs Ivory Coast Prediction
Although Mali are undefeated in the competition so far, the fixture between the two sides on Monday is likely to swing in favor Ivory Coast.
The Elephants have found the back of the net five times in their last three games while conceding not more than two goals. Their last match alone saw them score four against their opponents.
Mali, on the other hand, have scored six goals in the competition so far and have recorded two wins apart from a draw in the process.
The squad went off to a promising start in the opening match but have not been able to recreate a similar success in any of their subsequent matches.
Both the teams certainly know how to find the back of the net, and so a high scoring clash between the two sides is definitely looming large. Ivory Coast current run of form, however, gives them the slight upper hand to edge past their foes at the end of the ninety minutes.
