Fuggerstädter are somewhat of a Two-Face of the Bundesliga, a strong relegation candidate following a horrific start to the season, switching to god mode as November rolled in, going on a two-month unbeaten run only to get back on factory settings with the beginning of 2020 since when they’ve won only once (against self-destructive Werder) which got them right at the middle of the table at 11th.
Most of their good work is done at WWK Arena. Martin Schmidt’s men on their travels are borderline relegation side, getting only nine points from eleven trips, having lost on their last three excursions, with the last being already mentioned trashing by Eintracht in Frankfurt.
Karim Bellarabi and Moussa Diaby are having bad cases of cold and might end up being spared for Augsburg clash on Sunday.

Despite their continental adventures during midweek, Leverkusen has superior players, enough depth in the squad and quality to continue their winning run against imploding Augsburg and get their third consecutive Bundesliga victory (fourth in a row against Fuggerstädter).
And there should be goals, lot of them. Leverkusen has been in the overdrive since 2020 rolled in and Augsburg have scored (but mostly conceded) four or more goals in three of their last four games on the road so… Writing’s on the wall for this one.
