India vs UAE
Asia-AFC Asia Cup.
Date: Thursday, 10th January 2019.
Kick-Off at 16:00 UK/ 17:00 CET
Venue: Zayed Sports City Stadium (Abu Dhabi).
Indian football team has managed to create history after the 4-1 win against Thailand in their first group game. They will want to keep the momentum going to progress into the knockout stage.
The Blue Tigers are currently 97th in FIFA rankings and they have got there wth some decent performances in the recent past. This is their 4th ever Asia Cup and a stage to show their worth to play among Asia’s top teams.
The attacking of the team in Blue was impeccable as their talisman Sunil Chhetri became the second top active goal scorer behind Cristiano Ronaldo. He surpassed Lionel Messi and the Indian continues to impress.
The White Jersey has taken part in 10 Asia Cup finals and their best performance was being runners-up in 1996. It has been a long time since that and the team currently ranked 79th in the world needs to repeat something of that stature soon.
But the hosts disappointed with their opening game. Bahrain were sable to keep them under control and the game ended 1-1 at Abu Dhabi. With 64% ball possession they controlled the game but could not beat the Bahrain keeper.
Two of their players picked up yellow cards which may prove valuable at the latter part of the tournament. With India having attacking talent the defence will have to work hard as well.
We can expect a great game from both sides if their recent show is anything to go by. The home side will definitely have that advantage against the team from South Asia.

India vs UAE: Prediction
As far as ranking goes, the hosts are on another level compared to the Indians. The Blues will need to get the better of UAE defence which is far better than what Thailand had on offer. With a bit of luck, the Tigers may slot in some goals and put a stalemate as well. Thus, a bet can be placed on a Double Chance on either India winning or the match ending as a draw with 3.75 odds.
The Indian attack has shown its power already. They have talent in the bench too. UAE are yet to come to the party, but I am sure they will score in this game. So, I am betting on both teams to score with 2.75 odds.
