Hobro vs FC Copenhagen
Date: Monday, 23rd July 2018
Kick-off at 18:00 UK/ 19:00 CET
Venue: DS Arena (Hobro).
The 2017–18 Danish Superliga is a forgettable season for FC Copenhagen as they finished fourth, their lowest since 2000.
It is not a good start for the most successful club in Danish football this term as well as their opening match of the new season last week ended in a 1-2 defeat to Horsens.
FC Copenhagen had a slow start to last season as well, but this indeed pushed them out of the title race earlier than one could expect. With the likes of Midtjylland, Brondby and Nordsjaelland emerging as strong title contenders in recent seasons, Stale Solbakken cannot afford the same this time.
Hobro had a decent season and finished 7th in the regular season before falling to SonderjyskE in the Europa League play-off round.
However, the new manager Allan Kuhn had some serious problems to deal with after a poor pre-season and a losing start to the 2018/19 season.
HIK were thrashed 3-1 by the newly promoted Vejle in the last round and they should take something from Monday’s game to inject some momentum to the new season.

Hobro vs FC Copenhagen Prediction
Monday’s match up with Hobro is a crucial one for FCK and three points must be bagged to avoid playing catch up with the impressive Midtjylland and Brondby once again.
To their aid is the poor form of Hobro, who were seen struggling in the warm up games and season opener against the newly promoted Vejle. It seems like they are simply unable to keep the ball out of their own net.
The morale at Copenhagen is not that bad since they tasted a mini victory this season with the double legged Europa League qualifying win over Finnish side KuPS.
FCK have another European fixture in the midweek, but Stale Solbakken is expected to go with a full-strength squad here with eyes on first league win of the season.
