Hertha Berlin vs Nurnberg
2018/19 German Bundesliga
Date: Saturday, 25th August 2018
Kick off at 14:30 UK/ 15:30 CET
Venue: Olympiastadion (Berlin).
Veteran Bundesliga team Hertha Berlin kick off another start to the season at home and they will be looking to get off to a positive start as they try to qualify for Europe.
Their opponents are Nurnberg who with Dusseldorf have been promoted from Bundesliga 2, and so this will be a very interesting game to see if the outsiders can upset Hertha. The bookmakers don’t think so and Hertha have been installed as the favourites at around the even money price.
Hertha Berlin have only brought in two new players so far in the transfer window. Pascal Kopke the striker for almost 2m euros and Marko Grujic on loan from Liverpool.
Nurnberg on a limited budget and one of the bookmakers favourite teams to go straight back down have had to bring in some loan deals. The most eye catching is the capture of South Korean striker Yuya Kubo from Belgian side Gent.

- The last time the teams played here was in 2014 where Nurnberg won 3-1.
- From the last 7 competitive matches Hertha Berlin have just 1 win, Nurnberg have 5 with 1 draw.
- 3 of the last 4 matches has seen the correct score 1-0 to either side at half time.
Hertha Berlin vs Nurnberg: Prediction
Both sides have been uneventful in the summer transfer market so far and this could show on a game that both won’t want to lose. We could see very few chances and will predict the half time score.
If goals come it will be as the game goes on and we also feel backing goals in the 2nd half should be more profitable in the long run in a game that is set to be played like chess.
