Guingamp vs PSG
France – Ligue 1
Date: Saturday, 18 August 2018
Kick-Off at 16:00 UK / 17:00 CET
Venue: Stade du Roudourou, Guingamp.
There is nothing new in France at the start of the new season. The reigning champions began the title defense quest with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Caen last weekend even though neither Edinson Cavani nor Kylian Mbappe featured the match. Such victory followed a 4-0 thumping of Monaco in French Super Cup.
The new manager Thomas Tuchel should have star forward Kylian Mbappe in his ranks for the second round clash with Guingamp away at Stade du Roudourou, while the Uruguayan talisman Cavani will skip this trip too.
The hosts started the new campaign with a 2-1 defeat away at Saint-Etienne, conceding the 80th-minute goal from Lois Diony. It was young left winger Marcus Thuram who bagged their lone goal of the affair.
Guingamp vs PSG: Head-to-head
Guingamp are one of two teams in France to have avoided a defeat at Parc Des Princes last year.
They fought out to a 2-2 draw back in April.
Les Parisiens, however, won remaining three of last four games in some fashion, by at least two goals difference each.
PSH bagged 13 goals in last four matches against Guingamp.
Guingamp vs PSG: Prediction
Antoine Kombouare still does not have the full squad available as Lucas Deaux, Matteo Ahlinvi, Nathael Julan and Abdoul Kamara are all sidelined for the PSG clash.
The hosts shipped two goals to Saint-Etienne seven days ago and it is really hard to see them stopping the best attacking line in the country this time around.
PSG should really have no troubles storming past their rivals at Stade de Roudourou and we we’ll back the visitors to have the lead at the half time and win the match at the end as the main betting option at the odds of 1.61.
You can also take PSG to net three or more goals on the occasion at the 1.83 odds.
