Fylde are going to host newly promoted Salford City in the ninth round of the English National League on Tuesday evening.
In their premier season in the fifth tier of English league pyramid, the hosts managed to snatch the promotion playoffs spot. However, they’ve been stopped in the quarter-finals as Boreham Wood celebrated a 2-1 victory. Fylde are one of the three non-defeated teams in the competition and they are just a point away from the top spot. Although the hosts are well-known as very efficient side, this time they have been very disciplined in the back and they’ve allowed just four goals so far in the season. Danny Rowe and the lads have been putting confident home performances as they allowed just one point to their rivals.
Salford City are the newbies in the competition, however they don’t want to be just an ordinary participants. The visitors are aiming for the top half of the table and the chance to win the consecutive promotion. After suffering two defeats at the start of the campaign, Graham Alexander’s side managed to tie five matches without losing. They are sitting on the eleventh spot, however the visitors are just three points behind from the promotion playoff spots. They have been clinical in front of the oppositions’ goal, however Salford City need to improve their defending.

A very exciting clash is ahead of us and both sides have a good chance to get the positive result from this one. Although the hosts have been excellent at home ground, Salford City managed to improve a lot and they are definitely capable of staying undefeated in this one.
Both teams are well-known of getting involved in high scooring clashes, mostly because of their very good finishing. As their clashes have also been a joy to watch in terms of goals scored, in this one we should see both teams scoring at least once in the match.
