Frosinone vs Bologna
2018/19 Italian Serie A.
Date: Sunday 26 August 2018
Kick-Off: 19:30 UK,
Venue: Stadio Benito Stirpe (Frosinone).
After a 4-0 humiliation to Atalanta, Frosinone will hope to rebound as they take on Bologna in their first home game of the season on Sunday. Like their opponents, the Rossoblu also lost on matchday one and will be also looking to rebound.
The Canarini are set for a long and difficult season. This will be their second ever campaign in the top flight, and they will be hoping not to be relegated this time around.
With plenty of teams expected to struggle, including Bologna, SPAL, and likely Cagliari, among others, the Canarini could get lucky this time around.
They have added some interesting signings, including ex-Arsenal forward Joel Campbell in a bid to avoid the drop, so it will be quite fascinating to see if this gamble pays off.
Bologna have also made some interesting acquisitions, namely in the form of Pippo Inzaghi as their manager in lieu of Roberto Donadoni. It’s going to take time, of course, for his approach to take root, but they have lost some quality going forward, with Simone Verdi off to Napoli and Mattia Destro failing to achieve any real consistency due to lack of form and fitness.
The lack of goals have hurt Bologna, naturally, and this was glaringly obvious as they stumbled to a shock 1-0 loss to SPAL last weekend.
Frosinone will certainly hunker down and park the bus as they wait to counter going forward, so if fans are hoping to be entertained they’d be served best to look elsewhere.
After losing 4-0 last round, don’t expect the Canarini to be venturing forward. They will need to pick up points, and this will be a game they will try to get some points on the board to start inching up the table.

Frosinone vs Bologna: Prediction
Both sides started off their respective campaigns badly, but Frosinone’s was hardly a shock. They will be hoping to obviously rebound here, but Frosinone are playing at home and given that Bologna have lost over half of their away trips, coupled with the fact that the Rossoblu had a poor scoring away record last term, the Canarini could edge this contest.
