Everton vs Huddersfield Town
2018/19 English Premier League
Date: Saturday, 1st September 2018
Kick-off at 15:00 UK/ 16:00 CET
Venue: Goodison Park (Liverpool).
Everton have made a good start so far this season and they need to remain consistent to be able to see off Huddersfield.
Meanwhile, Huddersfield have started the season poorly, scoring just 1 goal in the 3 games played. They seem to be lacking the energy and passion they showed last season.
The Toffees have managed two good draws against Wolves and Bournemouth and a home win over Southampton. They scored 2 goals each in the 3 games played so far and have conceded two in each except against Southampton.
Though they had Richarlison sent off in the 41st minute, goals from Theo Walcott and Keane handed the Toffees the lead in the second half against Bournemouth. Joshua King later converted a spot kick while Nathan Ake scored from a close range to rescue a point for the Cherries in that game. Another good performance from the Toffees in this game will surely earn them another good point.
Huddersfield starred the season with two hard fixtures against Chelsea and against Manchester City. The Terriers lost 3-0 to Chelsea in the opening weak and followed it up with a 6-1 defeat to Manchester City. The managed a draw against Cardiff City at home last weekend but lost 2-0 to Stoke City in League Cup in the mid-week.
The goalless draw at Cardiff City could be tagged a boring game as the only real high light was the sending off of Jonathan Hogg. The Terriers are second from the bottom of the table with 1 point, they need to start getting results if they hope to remain in top flight.
Everton vs Huddersfield: Head to Head
The two teams have played a lot of games against each other, but this will be their 3rd Premier League clash.
Everton defeated Huddersfield home and way last season with 2-0 score line and haven’t lost any of their last 9 meetings.
Everton vs Huddersfield: Prediction
Everton are the favorites for this game and coupled with the fact that they are playing at home, we are backing them to win here.
The Terriers may hold out till half time but we expect them to break before full time. So a half time draw could be a productive bet.
We are hoping to see Everton keep a clean sheet in this game and perhaps win with same score line as last term games.
