Derry City vs Limerick
Irish Premier Division
Date: Friday, 6 July 2018
Kick-Off at 19:45 UK
Venue: Brandywell Stadium (Derry).
Derry City are going to host Limerick in the 25th round of Irish Premier Division on Friday evening.
Home side’s performances dropped recently as they lost four times in the last five rounds. This bad streak pushed them down towards the middle of the table and they are currently sitting on the 5th spot.
Derry City are pretty far from challenging the top three at the moment as Waterford are ten points ahead of them. Although the hosts have been pretty productive so far, their defensive work severely declined lately and Darren Cole and the lads need to tighten up their lines urgently.
The visitors are having a por season as they are two points deep in the relegation zone.
Luckily for them, if they dint manage to improve, they’ll have another chance to secure the survival through the playout as Tommy Barrett’s side is nine points ahead of the bottom placed Bray Wanderers.
Limerick have great troubles in converting their chances into goals, while their defence is the second worst in the league.
The hosts have been more successful in their head to head clashes lately as they managed to avoid the defeat in their last five encounters and book three straight victories. Their clashes used to be tight ones, however in the last three the crowd was able to see at least three goals per match and Derry City managing to keep the clean sheet.
Derry City are favourites in this one although they are in a bad form and the hosts should be able to book valuable three points. Limerick are playing too bad this season and they shouldn’t be capable of posing a big threat to the hosts.
Both teams have been too poor in the back and while home side are producing a good amount of goals, this one should go over 2.5 margin. The crowd should be able to spectate another efficient clash between these two sides.
Home win @ 1.55
Over 2.5 FT @ 1.80.
