Derby County vs Ipswich Town
English League Championship
Date: Tuesday, 21st August 2018
Kick-off at 19:45 UK/ 20:45 CET
Venue: Pride Park (Derby).
One of the playoff teams from last season Derby County hosts Ipswich Town in the hope of improving both their performance and results.
The Rams have been finding it tough in the opening round this season. They appointed Frank Lampard as head coach in the summer but so far the team fails to perform at the required standard.
Derby has just 3 points since their opening round victory over Reading. The team needed a late turnaround to get the points and followed by two defeats. Leeds smashed the Rams at Pride Park with 4-1 and last weekend Derby succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at Millwall. This leaves the team already trailing behind their top 6 goal.
Ipswich looks struggling since the start of the season. The team had a wonderful start last year but this time around the Tractor boys are having rough times. The squad looks a bit thin and needs some improvements in key areas.
Last round they did well against Aston Villa though. The team clinched a point from a very tough fixture stopping Aston Villa’s perfect run. Ipswich even played more than a half with 10 men but eventually held on to the draw.
