FC Copenhagen vs Red Star Belgrade
Champions League Qualification
Date: Tuesday, 13 August 2019
Kick-off at 19:00 UK/ 20:00 CET

With the home advantage, the Danish outfit has the chance to progress to the next stage. Even more so, when their form at home and the form of their counterparts on the road are taken into consideration.
FC Copenhagen vs Red Star Belgrade: Match Preview
The first leg ended 1-1, but due to the second goal having the away status, Copenhagen walked away the moral winner of the day.
Copenhagen’s performance at Rajko Mitic Stadium was underwhelming, to say the least. Danish champions were tagged as favorites in this matchup, but they looked lethargic in the 1st leg, the only positive thing for them was a result, 1-1 draw, and they were extremely fortunate to get that all-important away goal from a somewhat dubious penalty.
Red Star played a good game, did everything right, but they were not rewarded for their efforts. Hosts caused serious problems to FCK through Marko Marin, creative playmaker, and he should be their main man in Denmark. MIlan Pavkov and El Fardou Ben are both questionable for the 2nd leg. If Pavkov doesn’t recover in time, Richmond Boayke should start.

FC Copenhagen vs Red Star Belgrade Prediction
FCK needs to improve massively in order to progress to Champions League Playoffs. They’re usually better at home, and one would expect that Stale Solbakken and his players have learned their lesson – Red Star is not an easy opponent, and they have to be at their best to win this matchup and face Young Boy in the next round.
Red Star are hoping for Champions League football once again. They were in similar situation last year, albeit against Trnava, weaker team than Copenhagen, but they did eliminate Red Bull Salzburg later on, on the road, and that shows their mentality, atypical for clubs from this region. If they repeat their performance from the first leg, they will have a legit chance of eliminating the Danish giant.
Weirdly enough, I’m going to pick bets that ‘came in’ in the first leg. I do expect more action in the 2nd half, no matter the score at half-time. At one point, one team will take risks. And I do see Red Star scoring at least once, with or without their talisman striker, Milan Pavkov.
