Cameroon vs Guinea-Bissau
Africa Cup of Nations
Date: Tuesday, 25th June 2019
Kick off at 18:00 UK/ 19:00 CET
Venue: Ismaïlia Stadium (Ismaïlia).
The defending champions will be heading into their opening clash with Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday at the Ismailia Stadium, hoping to make a resounding statement to the rest of the teams by grabbing a very convincing win.
The last time Cameroon won back to back African Cup of Nations was way back in 2002. Recreating a similar success, however, will be a very tough affair for them this time with the likes of Egypt, Senegal, Morocco and many others heavily eyeing their chances of getting their hands on the Cup.
Baciro Cande’s side are without a win any of their last three matches, with their most recently concluded international friendly ending in a disappointing 2-0 loss at the hands of Angola. His squad have failed to impress on the road and will be on an early flight back home if they fail to keep their act together in the group stages.
Following their clash on Tuesday, they will be heading into a fixture with Benin, while their opponents will be squaring up against Ghana. Clarence Seedorf’s side will be hoping to progress past the group stage with maximum points and as the table toppers.

Cameroon vs Guinea-Bissau Prediction
Baciro Cande’s side are likely to be handed their first defeat of their campaign when they take on the five-time champions Cameroon in the first round of the African Cup of Nations at the Ismailia Stadium on Tuesday.
The Djurtus could not make it past the group stages in the tournament’s last edition, and with their current run of form, they could be looking at a rock bottom finish.
The run of form for Clarence Seedorf’s men has been decent, with two wins and a draw in their last three matches. Their most recently concluded fixture against Mali saw them equalize after being a goal down, but were unable to go on and grab a clear decider by the end of the ninety minutes.
However, the match on Tuesday is likely to swing in their favor before both the teams head into the break. We can bet on them keeping a clean sheet at the end of the ninety minutes as well.
