Aston Villa have started their pre-season well and they travel to Pirelli Stadium in Burton hoping to build on the streak, as they held Kidderminster Harriers to a draw and beat both AFC Telford United and Walsall in two convincing outings afterwards.
Steve Bruce’s men have been in fine form up front and they’ve netted seven goals in the two wins, which should have them very confident as they meet the League One rivals. Villans have fallen just short of the Premier League promotion last term and will now be well aware how important it will be to lift their team spirits and retain consistency ahead of the new campaign.
Burton Albion also come into the match on the back of a win, beating Kidderminster 1-2 on Tuesday as they return to the winning ways after a disappointing loss at Mickleover Sports. They have been scoring goals too but it’s obvious Aston Villa will be even more of a challenge, which does come as more of a worry as they look to connect two in a row.
