Trencin have earned their spot in Europa League 1st Qualifying Round with a strong finish of a rather unpredictable season, beating Zilina in extra time of their Play-offs clash back in late May. They now travel to Podgorica after failing to build on their team spirits with a rather tough schedule and just two draws and two losses seen in last four pre-season friendly outings.
Buducnost will now hope to capitalize on such troubles on their end and earn any advantage ahead of their trip to Slovakia, which is bound to have them very motivated despite the narrow 2-1 loss to Napredak seen just over a week ago. Interestingly, they have struggled at this ground recently and manager Zoran Govedarica has a lot to prove early in the new campaign.
The visitors do seem to have more depth in quality at this point but it’s fair to say neither of the sides enjoy long competitive spells and a lot could depend on the preparedness, as we go into a slow-paced clash in the making. Buducnost will have to make a positive result here but we don’t expect they’ll go all out for an early goal either.
