Brescia vs Inter Milan: Prediction
The Rondinelle have dipped into the relegation zone after Saturday’s 1-3 loss away to Genoa. Brescia had 1-0 lead the half-time following a well-taken free kick by Sandro Tonali, but new Rossoblu manager Thiago Motta got everything right after the break as all three substitutes were on target to turn it around. Winless in four games, Brescia will host Inter Milan on Tuesday.
Martella, Desena, Tremolada and Chancellor are on treatment table, Mario Balotelli is not in the greatest shape right now, but is projected to get the nod ahead of Aye in Corini’s 4-3-1-2. formation.
The Nerazzurri blew the chance to go top of Serie A standings as they were held to a 2-2 draw by spirited Parma side. Visibly tired, Inter conceded two in the first half and were forced to chase the game.
Romelu Lukaku levelled the score in the second half, but they failed to nick a winner despite producing 8 goal-scoring chances throughout the game. With seven wins, one draw and one defeat, they remain one point behind Juve, but Atalanta are just two points behind after an emphatic 7-1 win over Udinese.
Alexis Sanchez, Danilo D’Ambrosio are still out, Stefano Sensi is doubtful.
Brescia have win-draw-lose record of 0-1-2 at home this season. They have an average of 1.33 goals scored per game at this venue, whilst conceding two per bout. Two of three games played at Mario Rigamonti stadium had BTTS – Yes and at least three goals scored.
Inter have flawless record away from San Siro in Serie A – 4-0-0. Antonio Conte’s men are netting big numbers – 2.75 goals per game, whilst conceding 1.25 goals per match. Three of four Inter games on the road had over 2.5 goals.
The newcomers are taking the game to their opponents this season and I’m confident Brescia will fight hard, just like they did vs Juventus (1-2) and Napoli (1-2). I won’t be surprised if we see the same scoreline on Tuesday.
I’ll back the guests to net two or more and pick both teams to score as an alternative.
