On Saturday afternoon we should be in for a treat as Bundesliga pair Werder Bremen and Hannover go toe to toe and if it is anything like some of their previous encounters we should be in for an entertaining game.

The bookmakers have Werder Bremen as the favourites to get all three points and they can be backed for even money. Hannover are out to almost 3/1 to win.

Werder Bremen dipped into the transfer market and spent 13.5m euros which is huge for German football on Everton player Davy Klassen to shore up their midfield. They have also come in for Jan-Niklas Beste the defender from Borussia Dortmund. Felix Beijmo has been bought for 2.7m euros for the defence. Bremen have also brought in veteran striker Claudio Pizarro and got the player on a free transfer.

As for Hannover they spent over 5m euros bringing in Brazilian midfielder Walace from Hamburg. Another 3m euros was spent on Genki Haraguchi the midfielder is coming from Hertha Berlin. They have also reinforced the forward position by obtaining the services of Bobby Wood from Nottingham Forest and they got the player on a season long loan.

Werder Bremen vs Hannover: Prediction

Werder are clearly the better side who have good times at home against their opponents. But both teams have been busy in the transfer market, having said that we will back the home team to win and go for the anytime goal scorer market.

All the cards are with Werder for this game and this being their first home fixture of the season against a team they should beat looks like a banker bet for us, and Werder should ease to a victory and collect all three points.
