Sporting Braga vs Hull City
Club Friendlies
Date: Friday, 13 July 2018
Kick-Off at 19:00 UK / 20:00 CET
Venue: Estadio Da Nora, Albufeira.
Hull City will be looking to back up the fine display shown on Tuesday against Maritimo as they are set to take on the other Portuguese Primeira Liga outfit just three days later at Estadio Da Nora.
The Tigers did not expect much from their first fixture of the pre-season, but Frazier Campbell and Jon Toral scored goals within the final five minutes of the game to complete a comeback after conceding early in the second half.
Nigel Adkins’ troops will face a tougher challenge on Friday when they are to play Sporting Braga who came fourth at the end of the season in the previous term of Primeira Liga.
The Archbishops have also just recently started the preparations period and they disappointed by falling 1-2 to much weaker Leixoes side on Tuesday.
Sporting Braga vs Hull City: Head-to-head
This will be the first ever head to head encounter between Braga and Hull City.
Sporting Braga vs Hull City: Prediction
The Tigers had a dismal campaign last year in the Championship, but it is interesting to notice the team is yet to sign a decent acquisition. This means Adkins and his troops could likely be in for another struggling season as it is very hard to see them as promotional contenders at this point.
They are set as heavy underdogs by the bookies here against Braga, but we honestly hardly see the value in backing the hosts to win at 1.44 given their poor performance against Leixoes just three days ago. Instead, we will go with the Tigers not to lose at the sky-high 2.62 odds as the main betting option.
Since the BTTS option “landed” in both Braga’s game with Leixoes and Hull’s affair with Maritimo, we will alternatively back it at the odds of 1.57 here. You can obviously also take the Over 2.5 goals bet at 1.65.
