Arminia Bielefeld vs Dynamo Dresden
Germany – 2. Bundesliga
Date: Saturday, 11 August 2018
Kick-Off at 14:30 UK
Venue: SchucoArena (Bielefeld).
Arminia Bielefeld and Dynamo Dresden are going to wrap up the Saturday’s action in the 2nd round of German 2. Bundesliga.
The hosts were just one spot away from securing promotion playoffs, however they stayed eight points below Kiel. Andreas Voglsammer and the lads were doing a very good job in front of the oppositions’ goal, while their defence could have been a bit tighter. They started their new promotion bid with a draw away to Heidenheim in the opening round and will be searching for the first win in front of their fans.
Dynamo Dresden opened the new season with a home victory over Duisburg and started building up their confidence. However, they had severe troubles last time as they were just a point away from being relegated.
Very bad finish of the season caused them big problems, but Uwe Neuhaus’ side managed to survive. The visitors want to be much more successful in the current campaign and secure at least a mid-table position. They have been playing very well at away grounds in the previous season and they might continue in the same fashion.
Interestingly, the home crowd didn’t have the chance to celebrate a victory of their team in the last five occasions and during that period both sides managed to book two away wins each. In their head to head clashes the spectators were able to see moderate number of goals.
A very close match is expected here, and it wouldn’t be surprising if it ends with a draw. the most realistic outcome for both sides is to split the points in this clash.
Although both teams were involved in low scoring matches in the opening round, their head to head clashes are a bit more efficient. In this one, both sides should be able to produce at least one goal in each net.
