Belgium vs Costa Rica
International Friendly
Date: Monday, 11 June 2018
Kick-Off at 19:45 UK
Venue: Stade Roi Baudouin (Bruxelles).
Belgium are going to host Costa Rica before the trip to Russia in the friendly match on Monday evening.
The hosts suffered their last defeat in September 2016 and since then they played 18 games. In the last 11 occasions, they failed to win only twice and on this World Cup they could be one of the most pleasant surprises. Eden Hazard and the lads have been very efficient in their latest matches except in the clash against Portugal which ended with a goalless draw.
Although they don’t have too many attractive players, Costa Rica are very compact team. Oscar Ramirez’s side is going to search their way through the knockout phase against Switzerland and Serbia as it is unlikely to expect that Brazil will have troubles of qualifying for the Round of 16. They played their last game against England and failed to a 2-0 defeat.
Belgium vs Costa Rica: Head-to-head
These two sides faced each other just once and it was back in 2002 in a friendly match as well. Belgium celebrated a narrow 1-0 win in that one.
Belgium vs Costa Rica: Predictions
The hosts are strong favourites in this one as they are looking unstoppable at the moment and we should expect them to celebrate another win.
Belgium managed to keep their clean sheet in the last four occasions and they might continue their excellent defensive work. Costa Rica were productive only in their clash against Northern Ireland and besides that one when they’ve scored three times, they had troubles in finding the back of the oppositions’ net.
