Belarus vs Germany
EURO 2020 Qualifiers
Date: Saturday, 8 June 2019
Kick-Off at 19:45 UK
Venue: Borisov Arena, Borisov.
Germany have the chance to top the Group C table as they travel to Belarus three points behind Northern Ireland with a game in hand, having snatched a thriller 2-3 win in Netherlands with a last-minute winner from Nico Schulz – despite a far from convincing display.
Joachim Low’s men have thus extended a four-game unbeaten streak and we’ve seen them scoring numbers of goals on the regular. They’ve struggled to keep it together defensively, though, and this will be more worrying despite not as much of a challenge expected at the Borisov Arena on Saturday.
Still, Belarus have been very tough to beat in front of the home crowd on many occasions and they will want to show more, after suffering losses in Netherlands and Northern Ireland back in March. They’ve conceded four to Oranje and putting on a more confident display at the back will now be pivotal for Igor Kriushenko and his men if they’re to snatch any points against dominant rivals – who now serve as prime favourites for the top spot.
Belarus vs Germany: Head-to-head
This will be the sides’ only second head-to-head clash ever.
The sides last met in 2008, when Belarus held Germany to a 2-2 draw in Kaiserslautern.
We now hope to see goals between the sides again but Germany should have what it takes for the points.
Belarus vs Germany: Prediction
We will thus back Germans to snatch the points and go for an exciting game at the same time, as we go for an Away win and a YES on Both teams to score at 3.00 which caught the eye of many as Die Mannschaft struggle for defensive stability.
With that in mind, we hope to see them in great shape up front and led by in-form Marco Reus, who has been in super form with Borussia Dortmund and who we now back to score anytime at 2.20. He found the net twice in the last three outings with BVB, which adds to such a belief.
