Bahrain vs Thailand
AFC Asian Cup.
Date: Thursday, 10th January 2019.
Kick-Off at 11:00 UK/ 12:00 CET
Venue: Al Maktoum Stadium (Dubai).
Bahrain has surprised the hosts U.A.E and the critics in their group opener. If the controversial penalty was not handed to the hosts the Reds would have had a historical win in the Asia Cup.
The Reds had played 4 Asian Cups before this time and all those journeys ended in the group stages. They look good to qualify if they continue this kind of form preventing opponents a chance to run at their defence.
Head Coach Miroslav Soukup is happy with the way his team has been carrying out orders. He will most probably play the same squad which started the game against the hosts.
The preparation matches had been giving their fans hope as they are on a 4-match winning run in matches played at home currently. This includes a 4-0 win over one of the biggest teams in the continent- North Korea.
The next match will be pretty easy considering the recent performance of Thailand. Both teams may enjoy equal ball possession, but the better attacking side may edge past the other.
Thailand is definitely feeling the heat at the AFC Asia Cup. After a humiliating 4-1 loss to India in the opener they have sacked Manager Milovan Rajevac. The team need to bounce back fast under the caretaker manager or else they may be looking at an early flight home.
After a third-place finish in the 1972 AFC Asia Cup, they never progressed from the group stages. With not much of a footballing legacy to talk about the elephants will need to prove their worth to take part in an international tournament among the continent’s elite.
The game promises to be an exciting one for sure as both teams are playing for their first win in the tournament.

Bahrain vs Thailand: Prediction
The War elephants are currently low on morale after their opening defeat. Only time will tell how they would improve in the newly formulated circumstances. So, I think Bahrain will take advantage of that and may walk away with 3 points. So, I recommend to place your money on Bahrain to win with 2.00 odds.
The Reds have shown their attacking talent in the first match. They took 13 shots and put 5 on target as well. Thailand also have taste of goal. So, we may see both teams scoring again. Thus, a bet can be placed on both teams scoring with 2.00 odds.
