Wales have two games remaining in the competition, including this one. If they manage to win both, they stand a good chance of progressing. Likely, with them taking on the worst of the lot this Saturday, a Welsh victory is expected, despite the away handicap.

- Wales kept clean sheets in three of the four former games.

- In fact, since 2002, Wales holds a 100% unbeaten record against this opponent.
Azerbaijan vs Wales Prediction
Wales managed to hold off World Cup finalists, Croatia in their latest fixture, for which they had lined up at home. Team-mates at Real Madrid, Gareth Bale, and Luka Modric had assembled on opposite sides of the pitch, and both exerted their influence on the field.
As was expected, the Croatians dominated the early proceedings and chipped in with a goal even before ten minutes were up on the clock. However, the hosts held on and equalized the scorecard just before half time. The 1-1 scoreline was maintained until the end.
Azerbaijan meanwhile, could not cope with the away handicap the previous match-day, as they were hosted by Hungary. Another early goal by the hosts hit the visitors hard, and they were unable to recover.
This weekend, the Welsh squad are desperate. They need a victory at any cost and will arrive with intent. They do have the confidence, of having trumped this same opponent in the reverse fixture.
Moreover, Azerbaijan is easily the worst of the lot, and are placed at the bottom of the table. They are winless so far, and in fact disregarding a single draw, have lost every one of their matches in the competition.
In addition, they have also scored the least number of goals in the process and conceded the most as well.
They have one victory to boast of, from their prior nine overall fixtures, and just three from their last fifteen in front of the home crowd. On the other hand, their opposite number is unbeaten in their previous four games.
Finally, Wales have been supremely dominant in h2h clashes, and hold a 100% unbeaten record, which would have been a 100% winning one, if not for a single draw in 2004.
As such, expect Wales to secure the victory this Saturday, over Azerbaijan.
