Belgium will have a nice opportunity to continue their fine UEFA European Championship qualifying campaign on Saturday afternoon in Baku where they will face Group F minnows Azerbaijan in Gameweek No 5.

The Red Devils hold the second place in the group standings with seven points from the opening three outings.

They are three points shy of section leaders Austria with a game in hand, and four points above third-placed Sweden who got off to a slow start to this qualifying process.

Belgium no longer have numerous stars from the past, including the likes of Dries Mertens, Eden Hazard, Axel Witsel, etc.

Players like Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois are injured and unavailable for the two clashes in September.

Luckily for head coach Domenico Tedesco, the Red Devils do have an easy schedule in the September qualifying window with the clashes against Azerbaijan and Estonia.

Azerbaijan share the very foot of the group table with a single point form three games, courtesy of a 1-1 home draw to Estonia in June.

Giovanni De Biasi’s men have conceded ten goals in these three affairs, including nine in the back-to-back away defeats to Austria and Sweden in March.
