Two sides with rather different faiths currently are facing each other on Saturday. Aston Villa is in a must win situation this game heading into it following 2 draws while for Reading anything apart from loss will be counted as a success.
Aston Villa started the season very well but played 2 draws in their last fixtures. The potential in the team is there and experienced manager like Steve Bruce should be able to take advantage of it.
Midweek, on Wednesday to be more accurate, Aston Villa played an entertaining game. The Villans hosted another strong side Brentford hoping for a victory. Still the hosts needed to level the score 2 times with their second goal by Kodjia coming in the last second of the game.
Reading are going into another nightmare season. Following their defeat in the playoffs two years ago The Royals are struggling ever since. They opened this campaign with just a single point in 4 games sitting in the undesired 23rd position.
Reading took their first point midweek following their 3 straight defeats. The team had scored just a single goal in their opening 3 fixtures but against Blackburn on Wednesday The Royals found the net twice. Bodvarsson scored twice in the first half raising the teams hopes for a victory. Still this was not enough as Reading quickly lost ground in the second half eventually finishing the game in a 2-2 score.
This is a must win game for the home side. The Villans want to keep the pressure on the top spots and has no room for mistakes. Reading may be a decent side but they are not playing particularly well at the moment.
