Aberdeen vs RoPS
Europa League Qualification
Date: Thursday, 11 July 2019
Kick off at 19:45 UK / 20:45 CET
Venue: Pittodrie Stadium (Aberdeen).
The hosts narrowly made it on the boat to European Qualification, having losing out on a top-three purely on goal difference. They finished fourth in the table with sixty-seven points and scored fifty-seven goals to their name in that season.
More than half of those goals were scored on home soil, with their last competitive fixture at home finishing in a 2-1 win in their favor as well. Sam Cosgrove, the team’s main goal-getter, finished the season as the second highest goal scorer in the league with seventeen goals to his name and will be hoping for a similar prolific run across Europe.
The visitors will be coming into the clash on the back of a disappointing 2-1 defeat against Mariehamn at home last week. Their previous trip on the road against Honka failed to end on a positive note too, with the final scores reading 1-0 in favor of the latter.
Despite enjoying more time on the ball and making thirteen attempts at goal, the squad were just not lethal when it came to getting the ball into the back of the net.
With the defeat bringing their two-match winning streak to an end, they will have to shake off their nerves and bounce back to winning ways this week if they are to keep their hopes of taking part across Europe this year alive.
The victors, at the end of the two legs, will be squaring up in the quarterfinals against the winners of the tie between Fola and Chikhura.

Aberdeen vs RoPS Prediction
The first-ever clash between the two teams at the Pittodrie Stadium on Thursday is unlikely to be a very high scoring one.
The hosts bowed out of the Scottish Cup in the semi-finals following a defeat at the hands of Celtic and failed to finish inside the top three in the league as well. The visitors however, have not been up to the mark recently, and have just two wins in their last five games.
The squad have conceded more goals than they have scored and have lost without finding the back of the net on three different instances.
The home side are certain to take advantage of the struggling away side who are unlikely to finish the match with an away goal to their name.
With thirty-three goals under their belt last season, Aberdeen are more than likely to be the ones to get their names on the score sheet and potentially the win at the end of the ninety minutes. We can also expect a low scoring clash, with the hosts winning both halves.
