Wolves vs West Ham
England – Premier League
Date: Wednesday, 4 December 2019
Kick-off at 19:30 UK/ 20:30 CET
Venue: Molineux Stadium (Wolverhampton).
Wolves may not be able to replicate their form of last season, but they still are hanging on to the top tier. At the moment, the team is on an unbeaten run of nine fixtures in the league, and have the home advantage for the day. On top of that, they are playing hosts to West Ham, who have two wins from their previous ten games in the competition. It goes without saying to whom goes the tag of the favorites.

Wolves vs West Ham Prediction
Wolves had a scare the last match-day, as they conceded early against Sheffield United. However, the former managed to hit the equalizer back in the 64th minute to share the spoils.
Meanwhile, West Ham, for all their struggles on the road, recorded an unexpected 0-1 victory on the road at the Stamford Bridge, against Chelsea the previous game week.
While the win against the Blues certainly deserves appreciation, taking into account their form for the whole season, West Ham’s win has the potential to be a one-off event. Even more reason to support this thinking is the phenomenal consistency Wolves have shown this campaign, especially in avoiding losses.
To quote a stat, Wolves are placed sixth in the table and have lost just twice this league season – the same number as that of Leicester. Moreover, at home, they have lost just once, and it had come against Frank Lampard’s men.
Most importantly, Wolves are on a six-game unbeaten run and remained so in 14 of their last 15. At home, they went unbeaten in 20 of their last 22, and the sole two losses had come against Chelsea, and in the Europa League respectively.
On the other hand, West Ham was winless in eight of their last nine overall games and lost five of their former seven. On the road, they were winless in five of the previous six and lost two of the last three.
Finally, taking into account the overall domination of home teams in h2h encounters, and the Wolves’ unbeaten run at this venue since 2009 – count on the hosts, Wolves, to come out on top and register the three points.
Building on that note, consider the fact that West Ham failed to score in four of their last six away trips, and their inability to score at all in the previous two h2h clashes. These observations, coupled with the ones discussed earlier, help us to deduce that Wolves will in all probability keep a clean sheet in the first 45 minutes.
