Wolves vs Bournemouth
English Premier League
Date: Saturday, 15 December 2018
Kick-Off at 15:00 UK / 16:00 CET
Venue: Molineux Stadium (Wolverhampton).
Top half rivals Wolverhampton and Bournemouth are set to take on each other on Matchday No 17 at Molineux Stadium. The hosts come into the game as clear form favourites following back-to-back wins over Chelsea and Newcastle United.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s troops tended to play in streaks so far in the season. They took one point from six league games before winning two in a row. Anyhow, it is still enough to keep them in the top half of the standings. Can they make it three wins on the spin on Saturday afternoon against Bournemouth?
Looking at the Cherries’ recent form, the answer would be positive. The visitors began the new campaign in a surprisingly string fashion, but their form has seen a massive slide of late. Eddie Howe’s side lost five of past six league matches, but we have to say such thread was partially caused by a well congested schedule with fixtures against the likes of Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool along the way.
Wolves vs Bournemouth: Head-to-head
This will only be the third head to head meeting between the two sides.
They played each other in the 2014/15 Championship campaign.
Bournemouth were more successful earning two separate 2-1 wins over Wolves on the occasion.
Wolves vs Bournemouth: Prediction
Bournemouth continued to struggle defensively as they shipped four goals against Liverpool last weekend at Molineux. We have to mention they were without the red-hot Callum Wilson on the occasion. The English striker could be fit to start at Molineux, though.
The Cherries ended a four-loss thread ten days ago when they dispatched Huddersfield Town 2-1 with a pair of early goals from Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser. However, it was all but a deserved win for Howe’s men who were outplayed on the home court by the Terriers back then.
Knowing that Wolves bagged two goals in each of last two league games, we find the value in backing them to do it for the third time in a row at the odds of 1.90.
