Wolverhampton have struggled to build on the gap at the top of the Championship table recently and we’ve seen them earn just two points in their last three outings, as the league table-toppers were held to draws by Preston North End and Norwich City since mid-February and beaten by Fulham in their last outing. They now look to bounce back to the winning ways against similarly struggling bottom of the table rivals and we do believe they have what it takes.
Wolves have based their success on points won at Molineux and although we’ve seen a more shaky spell of form recently, we’ve seen them still regularly net numbers of goals – where they scored seven in games against Sheffield United, QPR, and Norwich City. Reading have largely struggled defensively on the road and such a goalscoring form will be worrying for manager Jaap Stam.
Royals come into the match after a 1-3 loss to Sheffield United in front of the home crowd, failing to build on thriller draws against Nottingham Forest and Derby County seen beforehand. They have been scoring goals too and have a lot to hope for, as Reading look to capitalize on the Championship leaders’ recent troubles.
