West Ham vs Tottenham Prediction
West Ham admitted back to back defeats for the second time this season after Burnley slotted three unanswered goals past them on the road in their last clash. Garnering no more than one measly point from their past five matchups, the hosts have now found themselves sixteenth on the ladder.
The Hammers have also been hit by a sharp decline in form on home soil. They are without a win in their last three fixtures here, with their most recent one ending in a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Newcastle.
On the other hand, Tottenham’s poor start to the campaign is also reflected in their league position. With zero wins from their previous five Premier League matchups, the visitors are just two spots above West Ham with a slender one-point cushion.
Their last clash at home saw them share the spoils with Sheffield United in a 1-1 draw. While on the road, they salvaged just a point against Everton after Delli Alli’s opener was canceled by Cenk Tosun late into stoppage time.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men are still prowling for their first away win of the season. Which certainly does not incite confidence among its faithful this week. However, Spurs have not been at the losing end in any of their last three visits here.
As such, a draw no bet backing Tottenham is certainly the safest punt in this one.
Furthermore, despite losing out on the win, the visitors have been consistent in scoring a goal at the least on the road, and have racked up seven goals so far. Their counterparts have looked sharp in the final third as well. And have netted two goals or more in three of their last five clashes here.
Given that two out of their previous three h2h meetings here have also been witnessing goals down either end, count on neither side to make it out of the ninety minutes with a clean sheet intact.
