West Brom vs Swansea City: Preview and Predictions

West Bromwich Albion vs Swansea City
England – Premier League
Date: Saturday, 7 April 2018
Kick-Off at 15:00 UK
Venue: The Hawthorns (West Bromwich).

Only a miracle can save WBA in the elite class given they are ten points shy of the safe zone with only six games left to play. The Baggies have indeed been the weakest side of the competition this term. They’ll come into this off the back of nine consecutive defeats in the league. The clash with the rock-bottomed outfit will thus give a nice chance for the Swans to grab their salvation points and make distance between them and the drop zone higher after this weekend’s Matchday.

Carlos Carvalhal’s men have been in the midst of a super challenging schedule lately playing the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in the past two rounds. These back-to-back losses have returned them down to the relegation scrap, but Saturday’s result against the team which has lost nine in a row would once again raise the spirits in the dressing room for the Swans.

Apart from grabbing a three-pointer, the Welsh outfit will be hoping to find the back of the net after failing to do so in three straight games. Before the mentioned losses to the Sours and the Red Devils, they’ve only drawn 0-0 at home to fellow strugglers Huddersfield Town. Carvalhal will be without Jordan Ajew here, but his brother Andre is set to make an appearance from the first minute, alongside Tammy Abraham in the final third.

At the other end, all eyes will be on Daniel Sturridge who is yet to score a goal for the Baggies after making five appearances.

West Brom vs Swansea: Head-to-head

The head to head stats also speak against WBA.

The Swans will head into this with two straight wins over the Baggies under their belts.

Overall, the Welsh outfit leads the head to head tie by five wins coming into their 20th meeting with West Bromwich Albion.
